Pricing Specialist – Global Freight Forwarding & Logistics
Location: Abingdon (Hybrid – office and home working)
Shape the Numbers. Drive the Strategy. Connect the World.
This is a standout opportunity for a commercially sharp, analytically minded professional to join a global logistics organisation as a Pricing Specialist — playing a pivotal role at the intersection of client relationships, market intelligence, and strategic pricing.
Our client is a well-established international freight forwarding business, part of a major global group, with a reputation for precision, innovation, and genuine investment in its people. They describe their environment as akin to “a university for logistics” — and they mean it.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be the engine behind competitive, accurate pricing — working across client platforms, supplier networks, and internal teams to ensure every quotation is timely, data-driven, and commercially sound.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
- Manage incoming client rate requests via online bidding platforms, responding with speed and accuracy
- Prepare and deliver precise freight quotations using internal pricing tools
- Build and maintain market intelligence tools to support data-driven decision-making
- Analyse pricing trends, KPIs, and datasets to identify opportunities and inform strategy
- Develop and improve pricing workflows to maintain consistency and data integrity
- Nurture supplier relationships to enhance service quality and competitive positioning
- Monitor shipping schedules and industry trends, keeping clients and internal teams well informed
- Negotiate effectively and communicate professionally across a diverse range of stakeholders
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Strong numerical and analytical ability — you’re comfortable with data, trends, and pricing calculations
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence across the wider MS Office suite
- Excellent written and spoken English
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Legal right to work in the United Kingdom

The right mindset matters more than a perfect CV — if you’re detail-oriented, proactive, client-focused, and thrive under pressure, we’d love to hear from you.
