At Parke Lane People, we often talk about consultancy led recruitment. However, the best way to explain what we do is to let our clients and candidates tell their own stories.
That is why we created our new Recruitment Case Studies page. It brings together real experiences from employers and professionals we have worked with across Oxfordshire and beyond.
We did not want to simply describe outcomes. Instead, we wanted to show the human side of recruitment. The relationships that develop. The challenges that get solved. And the trust that builds when recruitment becomes a genuine partnership.
The page features three filmed conversations with clients and candidates who have worked with Parke Lane People.
Alongside these sits a short introduction from our founder Andy. The video now appears on the Parke Lane People homepage and explains the thinking behind our consultancy approach.
Andy explains it simply.
“We’ve always believed recruitment works best when it’s consultative. The videos give people the chance to hear directly from the clients and candidates we’ve supported.”
A Busy Day Behind the Camera
Filming the case studies meant capturing three interviews, an introduction video and some additional footage in one day.
Andy admits the schedule was ambitious.
“Filming three case studies and an intro video in one day sounded manageable when we planned it. In reality it was a busy day with a few bloopers, plenty of concentration and a lot of coffee.”
Even so, the goal remained clear. The conversations needed to feel natural.
“Recruitment is about people,” Andy says. “So we wanted the videos to feel honest. Real experiences are far more powerful than polished marketing lines.”
Thank You to the People Who Took Part
Andy is also quick to thank the people who agreed to appear in the videos.
“Everyone who took part has busy roles. We’re genuinely grateful they gave their time to share their experiences.”
One of the conversations features Neil Hornsby, HR Manager at CSafe.
CSafe provides temperature controlled logistics solutions for the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries. Their technology protects critical medicines and biologics as they move around the world.
Neil explains that Andy had worked with CSafe before he joined the business.
“Andy had already placed people with CSafe before I joined as HR Manager. He had supported the business with hires in Finance and Supply Chain and now my HR team.”
What stood out most was Andy’s approach.
“He didn’t pester and he didn’t ring every week, but I always knew Andy was there.”
Neil was initially a standalone HR Manager, which makes external expertise especially valuable.
“At the time as a standalone HRM with global responsibility, I needed consultative support. When I reached out to Andy, he came in and we spent time talking through the roles for my team.”
That time paid off.
“He took the time to understand exactly what we were looking for and secured the ideal candidates.”
Neil believes the relationship works because Andy understands the wider business context.
“Andy already knew the business. Now that we work closely together he understands it even better.”
Showing How Consultancy Recruitment Works
Stories like Neil’s show what Parke Lane People means when we describe ourselves as a specialist recruitment consultancy.
Our focus is not simply filling vacancies. Instead, we take time to understand businesses and build long term relationships.
The same approach applies across our recruitment disciplines. For example, organisations searching for a marketing recruitment agency in Oxfordshire often need guidance as marketing roles evolve within growing companies.
Real Stories, Real Outcomes
The new case studies page brings these experiences together in one place. It helps visitors see how Parke Lane People works in practice.
Recruitment rarely follows a perfect script. It involves conversations, trust and sometimes a few unexpected moments.
That is why we decided to keep a few bloopers from the filming day.
Andy sums it up well.
“Recruitment, like filming, rarely goes perfectly first time. But when you take the time to understand people and organisations properly, the outcomes speak for themselves.”
