Our client is a well-established and highly reputable organisation within the Education sector, located in Oxford amongst impressive surroundings. They have a new requirement for a PA to join them on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the Bursar, the key responsibilities will be to:
- Manage the Bursar’s diary, appointments, and meeting schedule.
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence (emails, letters, calls).
- Book meeting rooms and arrange catering.
- Act as first point of contact for staff, parents, governors, and external suppliers.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and personnel matters.
- File and manage electronic and paper records systematically.
- Support preparation for ISI and compliance inspections.
- Maintain records of supplier contracts and service agreements.
- Track staff training, appraisals, and safeguarding compliance.
- Assist with audit preparation and liaise with auditors.
- Liaise with ST and broader support services on behalf of the Bursar.
- Manage insurance documentation and renewals.
- Draft internal communications or updates from the Bursar’s office.
- Assist with parent and staff notices relating to finance or operations.
- Undertake confidential typing and document preparation.
- Manage stationery and office supplies for the Bursar’s office.
- Support with data entry and database management.
- Provide a point of contact for all Governors for routine administrative business.
- Communicate the Governors’ meeting schedule.
- Ensure Governor information is kept up to date.
The ideal candidate will have previous PA/EA experience in a similar role. Strong secretarial and administration skills are essential, as well as excellent attention to detail. You should be a confident communicator, proficient in using MS Office.
On offer is a base salary of 35-40k (depending on experience), great benefits such as 30 days holiday, private medical and usage of the gym & pool. The role will be predominantly be based onsite, with more flexibility offered over the school holidays.
